STEALS: THE RODMAN EDITION ☆
this week’s eBay steals are brought to you by former pro-basketball player, Dennis Rodman. in the 1990s, Dennis Rodman was giving us full-on c%nty. he gave us belly tops. he gave us waist chain belts. he gave us ski-sunglasses, but club edition. he gave us Party Monster in a professional-basketball-player-sort-of-way.
let’s take a look at some Rodman-esque eBay pieces from this week.
one of my first ever vintage pieces was a Pop Icon silver metallic button-up ⚙️ Pop Icon is a brand from the 90s that specialized in club and rave button-ups. this particular one from eBay is at an amazing price — I’ve seen these button-ups go from $30-150. snag this one here for $9.
this chain belt is like Chrome Hearts and redneck all wrapped in one! I can’t unsee the white women from my suburban hometown donning these crosses on just about anything that can be worn, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it our own. plus, I think Dennis would approve.
these vintage Alexander McQueen houndstooth plaid cropped pants are giving us shape. I love the flair in these! snag here.
Dennis had a thing for blazers and velvet, so why not them together? Anna Sui is an American fashion designer who built a cult-like following in the late 1980s. she got her breakthrough moment when Madonna wore her clothes to a Jean-Paul Gaultier runway show and was later encouraged by high-fashion models, such as Christy Turlington, to put together a show of her own. the rest is history. snag here.
I couldn’t complete this roundup without at least one funky hat. this is a fabulous vintage leopard print bucket hat that I want to say is from the 1960s. it’s truly a one-vibe-fits-all.
