STEALS: LAURA’S WATCHLIST 👁🗨👁🗨
latex is so hot. point blank period. although latex is associated with BDSM or medical wear, wearing it out as a statement piece is such a power move. you could pair this amazing transparent latex coat with this Vivienne Tam chakra print mesh dress -- the way the colors of the dress would pop through the coat would be an iconic moment.
there was an era in 2005 where I would beg my mom to take me to Hot Topic so I could buy tin lunch boxes and carry them around as a purse. my favorite was a Napoleon Dynamite one that had the infamous Liger drawing on the side (I still have it and it holds old love letters). nowadays, I would carry this one featuring R. Crumb's iconic Devil Girl.
if you know me, you know I love to dance. let's bring a little PLUR action into our wardrobe, but at an elevated level bc some of us work 9-5... *sigh*. these 90's Moschino Bijoux pacifier earrings do exactly that without saying that you might have drank too much molly water at an Arca DJ set a month ago.
when I first joined Tumblr in 2009 I became friends with a plethora of girlies who were fueled by teen angst, YA novels and a love for sexy frontmen of dad-rock bands. I recall multiple text posts where I would yearn about being a member in Penny Lane's group of band-aids. since then, I could think about a million things I'd rather do than date a musician. however, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate some hot merch. this Glamhead micro mini skirt of The Rolling Stones logo is hotter than any screen printed t-shirt I can think of.
one of my favorite past-times is to watch GRYM YouTube videos... medieval style (my favorite videos are made by Crow's Eye Productions). watching how fashion evolves throughout time is extremely therapeutic to me. getting your hands on wearable 100+ year-old vintage is practically impossible, but finding some good re-productions is more than easy. iconic goth brand Lip Service made some renaissance style dresses that do just the trick. This one or this one are my faves. Imagine pairing these with a pair of brown bubble heels... um excuse me where's my knight in shining armor?
